The Podraza Trio are our flagship jazz trio consisting of three rising stars on the jazz scene. After studying together at Leeds College of Music, we picked this super-smooth trio from a host of auditionees after impressing with their distinct traditional flavour and tremendous jazz pedigree. 

 

Their extensive repertoire consists of jazz standards by classic artists such as Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Gershwin and Chick Corea - to name but a few. This eclectic bunch also love to take modern pop songs and rearrange them into their own distinctive style. 

 

Featuring flamboyant pianist Aleks Podraza alongside bassist Sam Quintana and drummer Alasdair Wells, this trio have been described as having a sound 'steeped in the tradition of the music and an accessible modern day twist' by world renowned sax player Russell Van Den Berg.
